MEET THE TEAM
Staff and Volunteers
We currently employ two full-time staff and two part-time staff, as well as four volunteers. However, these numbers fluctuate throughout the year when we recruit seasonal staff to run our holiday programmes. Our volunteers work in a variety of roles including administration, youth work and finance. We regularly provide both UK and overseas students with invaluable work experience organised in conjunction with their schools/colleges/universities. Overseas placements last from six weeks to six months and are arranged through our partnership with Work UK. To date, we have hosted six interns from Germany, and four from France. This, combined with volunteers of African, Asian and Middle-Eastern decent, provides for a very multi-cultural work force. Andrew Brown
Andrew chose to set up Elevating Success UK using all the skills and business experience he had gained over the previous 15 years. Elevating Success UK has been running for 15 years and continues to go from strength to strength.
Ben Joyce
Ben is the Operations Coordinator for Elevating Success UK having started in July 2010. In that time he has progressed from undertaking routine administrative duties to writing bids and reports. While he’s mostly behind the scenes the variety of work undertaken at Elevating Success UK has given him the opportunity to play a leading role at our Homework Clubs too. “I am extremely proud to be a part of the Elevating Success UK family and particularly enjoy seeing how our work positively affects each and every one of our clients,” says Ben
Aaliyah Shodipe
Aaliyah is a youth worker who has seen herself progress from programme attendee, to volunteer, all the way to paid member of staff. Now in her second year of employment, Aaliyah works as a tutor at our Clapham Park Study Hub, as well as a youth worker during our many holiday programmes. She is a shining example of what hard work and determination can bring, and is a valuable asset to the Elevating Success UK team.
Chanel Bailey
Chanel has been with Elevating Success UK for four years now, first as a programme attendee, before progressing to volunteer and eventually paid member of staff. Working with young people on our holiday programmes and the Clapham Park Study Hub, Chanel has proved herself a useful member of the team. Her bubbly personality means young people are always having fun and her desire to better herself has a noticeable effect on those around her, be it young people or other members of staff.
