High-5 Employability Skills

A 6-week motivational programme of support designed to assist individuals to access employment, training or education. Courses can be tailored towards particular groups, i.e. young people, ex-offenders, etc. or accommodate a mixed group of individuals. Skills development includes public speaking and the ability to tailor CVs to better match job profiles.

On The Road – Driving Theory Course

An excellent engagement tool, this 6-week course creates a pathway to driving that many find prohibitive due to high costs. Learners sit the Driving Theory Test and are supported to obtain necessary ID such as a Birth Certificate or National Identity Card in order to obtain a Provisional Licence. Thereafter learners receive employment support including job search, help completing online applications and agency referrals. The course is a vehicle for change with current successes indicating that when learners achieve success in passing their Driving Theory Test they are more motivated to achieve employment goals.

A 6-week accredited course preparing individuals to sit the Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment qualification in order to secure the industry CSCS card. In addition, attendees receive individualised support including mentoring, job search, CV building, agency referrals and the provision of work clothing.

A 4-week course providing individuals with the knowledge to sit the Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate – a necessity for those involved in the preparation of food. Attendees benefit from an up-to-date CV, registration with recruitment agencies, plus a paid-for DBS check and/or related ID necessary to secure employment.
