Name: Titus Richardson – November 2012
Titus Richardson, aged 29, joined the Pathway to Work in the Construction Industry (PWIC) Programme after being unemployed for six months. His career goal was always to be a welder, so he saw the PWIC Programme as an ideal opportunity to hone his skills and progress further along the path to his chosen career.
Titus began working with Elevating Success UK in November 2012 and, by the completion of the programme in December 2012, Titus was in a position to sit his CSCS Exam. Titus successfully completed his exam and went on to gain his CSCS Card.
Not wanting to rest on his laurels, Titus asked to be kept informed of any programmes offered by Elevating Success in the future. When informed that our On The Road: Learning to Drive Programme was being run in Deptford, he jumped at the opportunity. Before the programme had ended, Titus had sat and passed his Driving Theory Test, thus underlining his determination to succeed.
Titus is in the process of taking practical driving lessons and aims to obtain a full driving license before the end of 2013.
Recently, Titus’ hard work has paid once again as he has recently found employment. In August 2013, Titus began working for a private building, specialising in his chosen field of welding. This is a permanent position which Titus plans on holding for the foreseeable future.
